A Bicycle Friendly Economy
Here’s a quick snippet from the Bike Task Force meeting held at City Hall in Dublin, OH this evening:
Lots of reshaping going on at the ground level of community development right now. New builds have obviously slowed dramatically and very few are expanding, but lots of culture development is emerging.
You see an industry leaders like Google recognizing the emerging trends within transportation and releasing their most recent application for identifying walking and bike path directions via Google Maps, earlier today. Many of Google’s developments are mainly driven by community demand.
This evening I had the opportunity to introduce my organization into the conversation with a committee group formed by the city of Dublin, OH to explore various opportunities for developing the community as a leader in bike friendly transportation.
That’s awesome. I considered applying for this task force, but never got around to it. Wish I did.
I try to ride my bike into work occasionally.
