I need your help.

On May 5, 2012 we have the privilege of covering the second annual “A Fifth Season” fundraiser in Chicago, IL.

We shot a short documentary to premiere at the event, profiling three local families affected by Batten Disease (who are hosting the event to help fund further research into treatments and a cure). As we went through the highly emotional process of learning the ins and outs of these families and how to best convey their walk in life, we came to a cross roads while finishing up the trailer….

“Hope is the disease”

At the end of the video above, we attached the tag line “Hope is the disease”. Being that I’ve never had a family member diagnosed with Batten disease, I can’t quite grasp what that feels like. But, from where I stand, the phrase has great depth and significance.

Here’s where you help

Watch the trailer

Tell us how you interpret “Hope is the disease” in the comment section below

A few months back we had the opportunity to hang out with Meadow Park Church of God, and help put together a video that summarizes their vision heading towards the year 2020. We had the challenge of reaching into their past in order to help guide the future, while incorporating a new pastor.

The video is on the longer side, over 10 minutes, and was shot over a two day period.

The script was divided into five general parts:

Introduction

Scripture

The Congregation

The Community

Summary

The content was used for more internal communications that was shown at church group meetings and then distributed to the entire congregation via email and social media. It also now stands as the face of their website, as a great way to welcome a potential guest into the culture and direction of the church.

Meadow Park 2020 Vision

What vision are you trying to communicate?

Using video to help communicate your ideas and vision is an effective way to leave a memorable impact on employees, partners, vendors and the general public. Let’s tell your story.

A few weeks back we had the pleasure of documenting the annual Bob Evans Farm Festival down in Rio Grande, Ohio. We had a crew of three, led by director Cory Pampalone, learn a little bit about where Bob Evans Farms comes from, what makes the event special and what exciting new things we can expect in the future. Below is some of our findings.

Annual Farm Festival

Farm Fresh Refresh

This project took our entire team (6 resources) to complete 15 videos in just under a month. What event, conference, or activity can we help you promote next?

OnScene had the pleasure of meeting Matthew and Brian from SOCAP International earlier this year at the Astute Solutions Customer Conference. We immediately hit it off and began discussions of covering the 2011 SOCAP conference. A few months later we finalized the details and this past Sunday we flew down to Orlando to discover more about this community.

As part of the agreement, we’ll be showcasing the wide array of offerings from the organization, along with stories about customer service from their membership. But the most interesting part was seeing the engagement happening on the exhibit room floor. Talk about creativity! These exhibitors put a lot of thought and planning into their display strategy in order to attract conference attendees.

See what I mean? The Exhibit Room Floor

I learned a tremendous amount about customer relations and what makes these specialists tick. There’s a genuine thrill in solving problems and helping create life long fans.

What is SOCAP? The team explains here
