@WexArts AgriCulture Panel | Review
I stumbled upon a pretty brilliant discussion last evening at the Wexner Center for the Arts on Ohio State University Campus.
The Panel:
- Jaime Moore from Wayward Seed Farm
- Jeni Bauer from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream
- Michael Mercil from OSU Arts Department
discussed local farming influences, strategies and necessities with host Local Matters.
Below is a quick video snippet of the crowd, which was the most amazing part. This was a discussion between four people talking about farming and local foods being the roots of sustainable communities. The entire theater was packed with people. It was simple, to the point, and engaging. Not longer than an hour for discussion, with some light refreshments afterwards.
Topics ranged from the Virtual Pasture project on campus to urban farming. This was a collective group of people willing to make changes and improvements in their everyday life, in order to make a more sustainable community. They just need a path and some guides.
